Office Outlook 2003
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 uses steps similar to those shown for Outlook Express with only some minor differences. Accessing the Options menu is accomplished by clicking Tools on the top line menu and then clicking Options at the bottom of the resulting drop down menu.
The Options window that appears provides access to options for all the functions of Office Outlook. The E-mail Options button, circled in the accompanying illustration, which opens the e-mail options dialog, is located on the top portion of the Preferences tab view.
When the E-mail Options window opens, the security of reading messages in plain text can be activated by clicking the check box labeled "Read all standard mail in plain text". This places a check in the box which indicates that the option associated with the check box has activated. Removing the check by clicking the box deactivates the option.
In Office Outlook the preview pane is referred to as the Reading Pane. The options for the Reading Pane are handled right from the View menu, which cascades when clicking the "Reading Pane" item on the View menu. Here you can change the placement of the Reading Pane or turn it off.
