Quite a bit newer than the machine on the previous page, this computer started out as a Windows XP machine and was the first we built with SATA hard drives. That's right "drives" , this one gets used for music and video and needs the space. Not a typical "beige box", it features a bezel with a sliding panel and CD/DVD storage on top. Since this one has been upgraded a time or two since the original build, I'm not too sure of all the particulars of this machine. By the time it was built we had settled into installing a minimum of 512 Mb of ram so it has at least that if not more. The processor is probably an Athlon XP 2800+ or better. The original hard drive was an 80 Gb which has since been joined by a 200 Gb drive and a DVD - RW. Also, along about this time we had started including a front intake case fan and a rear exhaust case fan in each computer.
This photo shows the bezel cover in the down position allowing access to the CD-RW, the DVD - RW, floppy drive and reset button. Notice that the front mounted USB ports are always accessible.
